Jessica joined Kocher & Barney in April 2023. She graduated from John Carroll University in 2014 with her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology & Criminology and a minor in Business.

          She started her professional career by working with nonprofits in downtown Cleveland. She passionately dove into service work focusing on working with inner city youth work skills & GED programs and coordinating Cleveland’s animal shelter Project CARE program.
Looking for a change to recharge after a couple tough years in service work, she relocated to Port Clinton, Ohio to work at Catawba Island Club (CIC) for a fun (thought to be temporary) summer opportunity as a Bartender/Server. That is where she met her now husband Addison and Port Clinton became her new home. They married in January 2019 and continued working happily together at CIC. She worked at CIC as their Employee Recruitment Specialist and Special Events Coordinator until August 2021 when they had their first child, Emma. Jessica stayed home with Emma for her first year and a half before the opportunity presented itself with Kocher & Barney. Jessica assists the attorneys in various aspects of their practice as a part time Legal Assistant/Receptionist.

          Jessica, Addison, and Emma reside on Catawba Island where they enjoy spending time with friends, spending time at the pool in the summer, going on long walks and enjoying time at the park. They love making trips to visit their extended families in Cleveland and Cuyahoga Falls. They also enjoy their two loving furry family members, Luke and Leia, their cats (now Emma’s cats)!
