Sara attended college at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan where she earned her degrees and met her husband Matt. Sara and Matt were married in 1996 and have lived in the Port Clinton/Catawba area for over 20 years. They have three children: Jacob, Natalie and Emma. She has worked at Kocher & Barney since 2001 assisting the attorneys in all aspects of their practice including civil and criminal litigation, estate planning, domestic, personal injury, and everything else that comes in the door.

Sara is the past Treasurer of the Port Clinton Swim and Dive Booster organization and actively volunteers in the area when time permits. She and her family are avid boaters and use every opportunity to take advantage of beautiful Lake Erie.
